Job Description

The role is part of the KeysightCare Customer Support Organization, delivering post-sales customer support directly to key customers and strategic partners.

We are looking for an engineer who can demonstrate a broad knowledge of instrumentation, applications and technologies to provide timely and effective on-line technical support; clarifying, analyzing and resolving technical problems of varied scope and complexity.   The successful candidate must be familiar with wireless protocol, connectivity, systems and communications test, and be able to perform measurements using signal analysers, vector signal generators, vector signal analysers, network analysers, wideband power sensors and one box testers.

You will be required to demonstrate a real passion for customer success and enjoy taking on complex technical challenges working in a customer facing deep technical environment.

This position requires high energy, a good attitude and teamwork, to drive cost effective problem resolution for our customers. Strong customer focus, technical competence and flexibility to adapt to new technologies, are key success factors.

You start with a comprehensive technical training program, complemented by the development of professional skills required in a services environment.

We are looking for a Technical Support Application Engineer with ideally between 4-5 years of experience.

 

Responsibilities include:
Provide timely and effective remote pre and post sales technical support, solving technical problems of varied scope and complexity.
Take proactive actions while interacting with customers in terms of solving current questions or addressing potential future needs.
Close cooperation with the Keysight product and software divisions. The technical support application engineer is the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight Worldwide support team
May support and occasionally visit customer site.
Leverage post sales interactions with customers to probe and qualify further revenue opportunities and provide highly qualified leads to sales.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or science discipline.
  • Typically, up to 5 years relevant experience working in an RF/Wireless technologies or related business.
  • Requires strong technical knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication standards including 5G, LTE, WCDMA, Bluetooth and 802.11 standards
  • Solid understanding of the generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals.
  • Solid understanding of RF/MW fundamentals with practical experience using RF/MW test equipment.
  • Advanced Scripting Programming skills using languages such as C#, Python, MATLAB ® or VB, an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.
  • Understands the local market, customer needs and dynamics, strong communicator who can positively interact with customers.
  • Fluent German and English written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Customer-centric approach, always putting the customer first in all that you do
  • Full driving license
