Located in Santa Rosa, CA Keysight's headquarters is also the home of the Technology Order Fulfillment (TOF) U.S Operations’ New Product Introduction  Engineering teams.  As a Solutions NPI Engineer, you will apply your Electrical Engineering and measurements expertise to a variety of focused development projects. You will be part of a solution product development team that designs, develops, and tests RF and microwave test equipment and solutions. Uses product and customer applications knowledge to determine, define, develop and validate design concepts and methods. May facilitate transition of product design and enhancements to full production/delivery. May lead product definition/system design for complex features or coordinate a small group in feature development and integration. This is your opportunity to join a team that's pushing the envelope of 5G development and bringing new products and technologies to the market faster and more efficiently than ever before. 

  • Hardware:  Specifies new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates processes for validation of components and systems to produce final design. Designs, develops, executes and evaluates validation testing and product specifications. 
  • Reduces broad concepts, business strategies into structured projects
  • Leads the design/ delivery of new product/ process/ service technology advancements; is the key technical contributor
  • Solves complex, high impact design/ development problems
Job Qualifications

Typically, 8+ year’s relevant experience for entry to this level with the following minimum requirements:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with RF and uW circuits/products
  • Minimum 3 years of measurement algorithm and validation test development experience
  • Ability to employ both hands-on and analytic approaches
  • Ability to work with and through remote multi-cultural teams
Job Function

Key responsibilities will include

  • Design and develop test plan, test processes/test software for our next generation RF & Microwave products. 
  • Architect, design, and implement test algorithms, instrument interfaces, drivers and measurements to characterize and validate design concepts and methods for state of the art RF & Microwave instruments based on product and customer applications knowledge. 
  • Formulate, implement and debug measurement algorithms in modern, object oriented test development environments.
  • Enable characterization of HW, evaluation of SW, data gathering for data sheet and specification setting.Defining product structure in the ordering systems to facilitate manufacturability.
  • Design and execute reliability qualifications and working with R&D to resolve any identified issues.
  • Work with the design team to identify and resolve any production issues
