Job Description

 

Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has a new position for a Semiconductor Process Engineer to support IC and SiP manufacturing, covering both R&D and production. This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center at our Headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline, while developing state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing processes.

 

HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Keysight’s Centers of Excellence, Industry Solutions Teams and Technology Centers to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G Test and Measurement solutions to customers in the communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. HFTC technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, and diodes, as well as high-frequency System in Package (SiP) and PCA subsystem solutions. 

 

We are seeking an industry professional with proven expertise in any of the following process areas, as well as leadership, drive and ambition to realize a novel technology that differentiates Keysight in 6G markets. 

 

•    IC manufacturing processes, including metal lift-off and resist strip
•    Wafer thinning processes (mount/dismount and backlap)
•    IC singulation processes, including saw and laser separation
•    Die sorting and inspection
•    Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP)
•    Wafer-level assembly processes, including thermocompression bonding, solder/adhesive dispense, pick and place, solder reflow and underfill

Job Qualifications

 

BS in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or relevant fields. MS or PhD preferred. 

 

Professional experience in the following areas is desired: 


•    III-V compound semiconductors and/or silicon technologies
•    Heterogeneous integration, advanced packaging & assembly techniques
•    Statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE)

 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are important for successful cross-functional interactions.
