Job Description

Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for a Semiconductor Fab Process Development Engineer at the High Frequency Technology Center in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices.
Process Development Engineers at HFTC are responsible for process development and sustaining of custom, cutting edge, micro and nano-fabrication technologies for high performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs and other electronic components which enable key competitive differentiation of Keysight’s industry-leading RF, microwave and high bit rate instruments.

The focus of this position is development, release, and sustaining of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working closely with process, integration, test, and circuit design engineers to define data flows and equipment modeling for MES interactions.
  • Data collection and database structure implementation for new MES.
  • Cross-coordination and functional definitions for process, equipment, and metrology data feeds
  • Conversion of existing SPC forms as well as development of new forms and charts.
  • Ensuring successful transfer and maintenance of new technologies in manufacturing. Project objectives will encompass performance, reliability, and manufacturing goals.

Job Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with development and/or maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience with statistical process control software
  • Familiarity with Javascript and JSON is preferred
  • Experience with advanced semiconductor processes and device physics is advantageous and specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing is preferred.
  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.
