As a digital and FPGA design engineer, you join a high-performance R&D team located primarily in Santa Rosa, CA and partnering closely with teams around the globe.  Our team is a key part of Keysight’s central research and development organization, Keysight Laboratories.  Our team helps create, validate, and implement technology involving high performance digital baseband, Keysight’s next generation ASICs, analog and digital phase-lock-loop structures and microwave/mm-wave solutions.  Your focus will be on designing gateware and digital hardware for embedded systems and complex measurement solutions including hardware control and signal processing.  

Job Qualifications


Required Skills
•    BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
•    A minimum of 4 years relevant job experience or education beyond bachelor’s degree. 
•    Experience with hardware circuit board design of digital assemblies including FPGAs and DRAM
•    Experience coding, synthesizing and simulating Verilog and/or VHDL RTL implementations in FPGA 
•    Self-motivated, quick-learner and excellent analytical skills
•    Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
•    Must be flexible, adaptable and eager to push technical boundaries
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 
Desired Skills
•    Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment 
•    Digital signal processing (DSP) knowledge 
•    Analog, RF and/or microwave circuit knowledge 
•    Experience with object-oriented programming
•    Familiar with FPGA techniques for clock phase rotation and time alignment of data streams
•    Familiar with techniques for time synchronization and phase alignment across multiple instruments
•    Experience with the latest FPGA tool flows and design methodologies
