Job Description


This engineering position is located at Keysight's corporate headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA, in the heart of California’s beautiful wine country. As an Engineer on our New Products Introduction (NPI) team, you will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams world-wide to design and implement Keysight’s state of the art measurement and calibration procedures and perform analyses to set specifications for all new products during development. You will have engineering responsibility for the product design as it is released into production and beyond. Our NPI teams are multi-disciplinary, involving electrical, software, and mechanical engineers. As a NPI Hardware Engineer, you will apply your Electrical Engineering skills to a variety of focused hands-on projects and become a measurement expert yourself! You will be part of a product development team that collaborates closely with cross functional teams to design, develop, and test our Performance Network Analyzers.

Job Qualifications

There are a variety of responsibilities you may be assigned, including:

  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing to develop new product models and features
  • Characterize product performance from breadboard builds to production release
  • Manage instrument hardware and the measurement, characterization, and calibration processes used during the NPI development phase and into production
  • Design and/or modify test stations, analyze test data and set product specifications
  • Create technical documentation
  • Manage and guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and through the entire life cycle of the product

 Basic Qualifications:

  • BS, MS, PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in analog and digital circuit analysis
  • Experience in RF, test systems and/or microwave system design

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing and/or product development role
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma and process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VISIO, Access, Outlook, Project, Microsoft Visual Studio
