Product Manager - PathWave FPGA, Truss, & Test Sync 


Keysight Laboratories has an exciting opportunity for a Master-level Product Manager to be in charge of the PathWave FPGA, Truss, & Test Sync Executive (TSE) programs


PathWave FPGA is a commercial software application that hooks into Keysight enabled-instruments’ SW and FPGA architectures, empowering users to easily develop customized application FPGA IP for use inside the instrument’s reconfigurable FPGA partition to create targeted solutions for end-customer use-cases.

Truss provides the components, infrastructure and processes to enable instrument teams to efficiently develop dynamically reconfigurable open-instrument architectures accelerating time to market and value-added solution deployment.

Test Sync enables the development and execution of synchronous, real-time operations across multiple instruments for developing measurement applications that require tight synchronization, phase coherence and real-time control and feedback

In this role the Product Manager will collect, identify, prioritize and propose projects and programs to support internal (CoE’s/IST’s) and external customers while working closely with R&D Managers and Portfolio Managers to deliver programs through the stage gate process. 

The successful candidate who fills this critical position will shape Keysight’s future products by delivering software and gateware which supports Keysight revenue, and directly impact Keysight’s roadmaps for integrated solutions.


Responsibilities include:
•    Defining & driving the strategic direction and roadmaps for PathWave FPGA software, Truss and TSE
•    Interfacing with partners in PathWave Software and Keysight CoEs/ISTs to understand their future needs in Open FPGA/Instrumentation, Computing/OS, Security, and Connectivity
•    Monitoring & tracking FPGA and OS developments, industries and trends, plus market and business growth opportunities
•    Supplying R&D managers and technical leads with market intelligence to make key decisions
•    Gaining support for key projects and executing early PLC checkpoints
•    Working closely with R&D managers to scope requests and staffing decisions, driving effective tradeoffs and supporting program execution
•    Developing & maintaining relationships with other Keysight Labs departments and internal customers to identify emerging needs and challenges, and to communicate trade-offs in choices

Job Qualifications

•    University Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 
•    Software controlled measurement system experience in communication or radar measurement applications requiring precise timing between elements

•    Strong quantitative and analytical skills.  Ability to analyze and synthesize broad inputs, summarize insights, and communicate across functions and organizations.  
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in communicating program progress and status to senior management.
•    Ability to multi-task and manage incoming requests across multiple businesses.  
•    Detail-oriented, with experience building financial and decision support models.
•    Knowledge of:
    o    Measurement Infrastructure (e.g. PXIe, AXIe, LXI, etc)
    o    Computer communication standards (e.g. PCIe, CXL, USB, etc)
    o    Network communication standards (e.g. Ethernet, Infiniiband, ORAN/eCPRI, etc)
    o    Timing & Synchronization Standards (e.g. IEEE1588, Keysight TSE, NI TCLK, etc)
    o    Instrumentation architectures (box, modular)
•    Familiarity with cross platform software development and deployment
•    Understanding of FPGA development flow


Desired Qualifications:
•    Post graduate degree, MBA, MS or PhD
•    Firmware/Embedded Software or FPGA development experience
•    Experience with CI/CD DevOps Process automation
•    Cross platform Linux or Windows Embedded
•    Familiarity with DSP applications using FPGAs for algorithmic acceleration
•    Modelling and simulation background

Role can be based in Colorado Springs, or Loveland, CO, Santa Rosa, CA or Atlanta, GA

Colorado Pay Range: MIN $ 132,300-$220,500

 The level of role is based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
