Job Description

 

As a microwave design engineer, you join a high-performance R&D team located primarily in Santa Rosa, CA and partnering closely with teams around the globe. Our team is a key part of Keysight’s central research and development organization, Keysight Laboratories. Our team helps research, create, validate, and implement technology involving very high-performance microwave structures for instruments, best in industry low phase synthesizers and high-performance digital baseband using Keysight’s next generation ASICs. Your emphasis will be on researching and designing the next generation of world-leading performance elements for instruments and systems.

Job Qualifications

 

Required Skills 


• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or applicable engineering degree/experience) 

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant job experience or education beyond a bachelor’s degree 

• Analog, RF and microwave printed circuit or microcircuit design experience 

• Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment 

• Self-motivated, quick-learner and excellent analytical skills 

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills 

• Must be flexible, adaptable, and eager to push technical boundaries 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desired Skills


• Knowledge or interest in ultra-low phase noise structures 

• Experience with Mentor PCA design tools
