To manufacture high level integrated circuits on GaAs, and InP substrates in the 3-inch wafer fabrication clean room at Keysight Technologies Santa Rosa, CA for the use in World Class Test and Measurement Equipment. The main area specifically is the C1 Dry Etch area, which includes the use of thin film deposition tools that deposit oxides, nitrides, and low etch rate nitrides in addition to multiple Dry Etch Tools. Position will be filled for the Weekend Day Shift from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday, with required weekday training, subject to availability.  



  • Handles and mixes hazardous chemicals for the use of wet processing of etches that proceed several dry etch or deposition steps with many of the processes having stringent timing. 

  • Ability to run specialized thin film deposition tools and verify proper thickneses with the use of thin film measurement tools. 

  • Performs detailed inspections with the use of a microscope to determine complete and proper processing on several platforms 

  • Ability to run multiple dry etch tools on several platforms and the ability to interpret signal analysis and end point computer models 

  • Uses multiple periphery equipment such as thin film measurement tools, profilometer and dry etch ashing tools 

  • Supports engineering with experiments and New Product Introduction (NPI). 

  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly qualification of dry etch tools, deposition tools, dry etch ashing tools, and solvent stripping systems 

Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications  

  • Semiconductor processing experience a plus, but not necessary.  
  • Must be very detail oriented and have the ability to run precision equipment to comply with critical specifications and other requirements. 
  • Must have excellent communication skills to work with engineering in regard to anomalies or process inconsistencies. 
  • Ability to lean quickly and work precisely from written instructions regarding safety, chemical handling, and wafer handling 
  • Ability to be standing and moving for long periods of time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent manual dexterity. 
  • The ability to work in a cleanroom environment which requires specialized work clothing. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other supporting programs such as MS Word. 
  • Knowledge of the use of quality control systems and the ability to interpret control charts and other data analysis methods. 
  • Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.  
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives, and policies of the company and be comfortable learning new computer systems 
  • Excellent work ethic in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
