Job Description

Improves processes to meet agreed-upon objectives. May redesign processes to meet cost objectives, component technology obsolescence and customer requirements. Participates actively in new product introduction, including influencing the design of the processes to ensure manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain, testing the NPI process, and managing the transition into production. Supports and implements the transition of products and manufacturing processes from prototype to full production and through the entire life cycle of the product. Partners with procurement, order management and technical services to improve/sustain products and processes. May direct the work of third party vendors and/or partners to meet contract specified deliverables, performance or business objectives. May work with suppliers to ensure achievement of goals for cost, quality and delivery of parts and materials. Will identify and manage ERP data such as bill of material and routing.  Plans, evaluates and recommends technical, quality and cost specifications to meet process design and business growth objectives and supply chain optimization.  Works with internal partners to meet quality, cost and manufacturability goals.   • Receives and develops approaches to assignments
  • Participates in development projects requiring coordination with team members, other functions, suppliers
  • Solves a broad range of problems varying in scope and complexity, under short deadlines, in support of instrument lines and NPI timetables

Job Qualifications

  • New College Grad with M.S. in Industrial Engineering

  • Must be able to work on-site in Santa Rosa, CA to support assembly lines
  • Must possess strong organizational, time management, and task execution skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
  • Desired skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP
  • Familiarity with CAD or modeling software for use in layouts
  • Familiarity with simulation software
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
  • Basic knowledge of systems engineering
