Integrated Circuit and Device Test Development Engineer

Be a key consultant crafting on-wafer microwave and millimeter wave circuit, device and process control measurements and building and optimizing robust, maintainable production tests to characterize Keysight’s own state-of-the-art devices and circuits. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working with Keysight’s latest measurement equipment and the process technologies and circuits that make them great.


The successful candidate will engage with our measurement experts and design teams to develop test plans that use microwave and millimeter wave test equipment and software to measure circuits and devices (InP and GaAs) and develop solutions that span R&D technology development, design validation and characterization and production ramps to volume. Apply a solid working knowledge of RF/microwave/millimeter wave measurements, on-wafer measurement and probing, work with software experts to facilitate automation, build new measurement solutions, and enhance or migrate existing high-value solutions. Move the needle on circuit design and process technology research and development efforts and improve the quality of manufacturing measurements while helping manage our portfolio of production tests.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding of RF/Microwave theory and test instrumentation
  • 1+ years of experience with on-wafer microwave test and calibration
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices are preferred, specifically using object oriented programming in a modern, high level language like java or C#
  • Ability and desire to work on rapidly paced projects with several design tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team in multiple functional areas (R&D, Operations, Maintenance)
  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions
