Job Description

Keysight Technologies Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions Business is currently seeking qualified optical fabrication technicians. The selected candidate will manufacture optical components. Selected candidate will work alongside technicians and engineers producing the industries most sophisticated, highest quality interferometers utilizing state of the art equipment.


The selected individuals will be required to follow established procedures and polices along with the ability to interpret drawings and sketches to complete their work assignments.  Additionally, the candidates will be required to operate both manual and automated optical machining / polishing equipment such as, Blanchard’s, NC saws, bevellers, grinders and slurry polishers while holding very tight tolerances on the fabricated parts.  Fine motor skills and strong attention to detail are required to protect the integrity of the optical parts being fabricated.  Familiarity with standard optical shop test procedures and equipment along with optics handling experience are highly desired.

Job Qualifications


  • Familiar with mechanical measurement devices i.e. calipers, depth gauges, micrometers
  • Optical fabrication i.e. shaping, grinding, and polishing
  • Ability to setup and operate computer-controlled machine tools
  • Precision mechanical / optical assembly
  • Optical inspection techniques 
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Understanding and application of basic physics and mathematics
  • Good teamwork and communications skills
