Job Responsibilities

Manage materials engineering activities for Electrical / Mechanical / Opto-Mechanical / Others commodities, providing a total Materials Engineering solution to manufacturing line / R&D & NPI sites to meet Keysight business needs and quality expectation. The key responsibilities are as below:

 

•    Lead, staff and manage a materials engineering team in support of SIS goals.   
•    To explore and develop supplier’s capabilities to effectively support SIS overall sourcing and technical requirements.
•    Actively explore and be able to source new technologies through market research to meet SIS future requirements.
•    To lead and work with suppliers for technical specifications study and perform root cause analysis to meet Keysight and customers’ quality expectations.
•    To lead on cost saving initiatives project on alternative material/part recommendation and qualification plans that meet SIS products requirements.
•    Influence the product design to ensure materials manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain.
•    To lead crisis to resolve materials quality / manufacturability issue.  
•    Partner with procurement and internal product team to improve/ sustain products and processes through technical understanding about material technology obsolescence and future road map. 
•    Lead and conduct supplier audits to drive supplier process standardization and continuous improvement effort.  
•    Focus on our customers.  Dialogue and team with customers to come up with solutions
•    Help to bring current and new suppliers up to SIS requirements (mentor).
•    Guide and Mentor new Materials Engineers by providing priorities, training guidance, and supporting roles and responsibilities defined by the position.
•    Learn and enforce Keysight policies and procedures
 

Job Qualifications

•    BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering or related technical discipline. MBA will be an added advantage
•    Demonstrated management experience in an engineering environment
•    Strong understanding of operations, supply chain and NPI workflow.
•    Proven records of delivering to goals set and building a diverse team.
•    Must be detail-oriented and ability to connect the dots in a dynamic environment
•    Must be able to be effectively communicate with all levels and cross functionally.
•    Must be agile and able to course-correct promptly in a fluid environment.
•    Must be able to set priorities, goals, and provide guidance to new or inexperienced team members.

California Pay Range: $139,270.00 - $232,120.00

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
