We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Optics Manufacturing team.  The selected candidate will be part of the team which closely works with our R&D and Quality to introduce new products to our advanced optics and interferometer production. You will have opportunities to adapt new technologies, transform start-of-art engineering designs into valuable and manufacturable products, and make key contributions and leadership to develop, document and drive our manufacturing processes with Production team to deliver the top-quality products to meet strict customer quality and cleanliness requirements.

Job Description

As an Manufacturing Process Engineer you will be responsible to valuate, define, test customized product quality and cleanliness requirements for our next generation product families and systems which include assemblies of precision mechanics, optics fabrication, fiber optics and interferometer assemblies. You will be also interfacing Optics Manufacturing team for product related technical trouble shooting, process review, tooling upgrade and continuously follow up with customer new requirement to support to all of our existing products.   

•    Work closely with Quality and R&D Teams to review new manufacturing processes for NPI products, as needed. Lead process development and documentation of new products to meet customized product quality and cleanliness
•    Drive, and manage optics interferometer production engineering to support manufacturing process improvement, cleanroom operation protocol and process cleanliness. Achieve cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers
•    Participate in NPI product transfer of qualified to Production Manufacturing teams, conducting process training to technicians as required
•    Define and create product subassembly documentation, support production trouble shooting, and train manufacturing personal to make corrective actions for critical optics final assembly manufacturing processes
•    Work closely with Quality Group to define process flow, traceability data collection and support of production on customer cleanliness initiatives and operation control. 
•    Conduct and influence Supplier SCARs, 8D analysis, product repair guidance and MRB review

Job Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:

•    Minimum 3 years of working experience in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field. 
•    In-depth knowledge of cleanroom operation and process control for complex semiconductor or opto-mechanical assembly and integration
•    Experience in one or more of the following technical areas: precision opto-mechanics, optical coating, semiconductor cleaning processes
•    Actively thinking and acting independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible results
•    Actively thinking and acting independently to identify manufacturing issues, propose or translate ideas and solutions into tangible results
•    Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels

•    Design or manufacturing experience with precision opto-mechanical products such as lasers, fiber coupling, optics collimators, laser interferometers, optical system integration, semiconductor cleaning processes
•    Depth knowledge in quality control programs of 6 Sigma, 6S and quality management system is highly desirable
•    Experience of using CAD tools for design analysis such PTC CREO or ANSYS is a plus
•    B.S. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or similar technical field.
