This position will focus on the optical fabrication process development for a new product introduction.  These processes include shaping, grinding, polishing and coating to create the highest precision glass optics.   You will work to improve yield and product quality for this high performance new product.   You will use optical metrology techniques to analyze part quality and make recommendations on improving the tooling and processes.     You will you your analytic skills to trouble shoot and get to the root cause of issues.   You will use your knowledge of the manufacturing processes to create a root cause analysis.   Your findings will help the team improve the manufacturing processes and lead to higher quality products.  You will lead teams of engineers and other manufacturing team members to improve the fabrication processes.    You will use data and analysis to show trends and improvements being made.   Your efforts will directly impact the customer and improve Keysight service and product quality.

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree In Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.  Bachelors Degree  in Material Science or Physics.
  • 2-5 year experience in manufacturing, optics manufacturing, process development or quality engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD tools
  • Able to design process fixtures and tooling
  • Ability to analyze data and make presentations
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware products and implement corrective actions
  • Ability to lead teams and get results



  • Experience with machining processes and or CNC programming
  • Experienced with optical product fabrication
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other quality tools
