The Aerospace Defence Key Account Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational business for a selection of key Aerospace and Defence accounts, with the focus on exceeding sales goals whilst achieving profitable growth for the business.

 

To achieve this the individual should:

  • Have a good understanding of the Aerospace Defence industry, the key drivers and challenges facing this sector over the coming years
  • Anticipate customer needs, investigate underlying causes and identify short term or long-term solutions; create and lead business development plans over the short to medium term. Pro-actively engage with industry to identify new business opportunities and customers through prospecting and networking
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders, developing visibility with senior leaders
  • Be able to design and execute strategic business plans that demonstrate a win-win ethos
  • Be able to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to enable successful execution of strategies and promote Keysight’s unique value
  • Explore adjacent business opportunities outside of the main T&M solutions
  • Challenge the status-quo and be able to engage at increasingly higher levels of business management
  • Have a broader, solutions-based approach to selling to enable deeper insights into customer challenges
  • Be able to manage a sales funnel accurately and with sufficient forward planning over a 6 months period

 

Key Metrics:

  • Deliver on-quota results
  • Show growth in Solutions and Services based opportunities
  • Manage discounts in line with targets, improving the bottom line
Job Qualifications
  • A successful Test & Measurement sales track record (5 years) - Sales experience should ideally include selling to major Aerospace and Defence accounts.
  • An excellent understanding the electronic Aerospace Defence market in Italy
  • Track record in major account management, software, solutions & services selling
  • Strong communications skills for both external & internal interactions
  • Ability to travel (50%)
  • A Degree or equivalent in Electronics / Engineering background is advantageous
