Job Description


As a cybersecurity specialist in the Keysight R&D Team, you will have the opportunity to work with hands-on offensive (pen) tests and the development of automated exploits for network infrastructures and applications in cellular networks (4G/5G). Also, the research of advanced exploitation techniques will be part of your daily tasks, like investigating and proposing use cases to bring AI/ML for vulnerability assessment (e.g. adversarial AI/ML).

  • Investigates cybersecurity threats for network and application
  • Proposes, designs, and develops automated exploits using programming languages
  • Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the  job and the  ability to work independently


The work will be highly collaborative with a team within the company and with key cooperating partners (network operators and equipment makers).

Job Qualifications


  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related  field of study and a minimum of 6+ years of prior experience in a similar or related role
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure and application-level penetration testing and vulnerability assessment of cellular networks (4G/5G), i.e. offensive approach, like the execution of exploits to escalate privileges and/or to do lateral movements, etc.
  • Demonstrated history of working with threat analysis and risk assessment
  • Experience with software automation of security tests using programming languages (Python, Shell Script, or related languages)
  • Must be able to demonstrate creative, problem-solving approaches to projects and be highly adaptable


Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in bypassing anomaly detection systems and firewalls
  • Interest or expertise in adversarial AI/ML for network intrusion detection systems
  • Expertise in bypass anomaly detection techniques, firewalls, and related security-prevent mechanisms for networks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with non-technical and technical audiences
