Production Operating Manager

Keysight’s Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA exists to provide precision machined components that enable the capabilities of Keysight’s industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As finishing operations manager you will lead a highly skilled team performing a variety of finishing operations including inspection, deburr, heat treat and cleaning which are critical to ensure components meet Keysight’s exacting standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a safe work environment
• Providing team leadership, coaching, development, and fostering a cooperative and effective work environment. 
• Capacity planning, including review of assets (people, equipment, space) and planning roadmaps.
• Recruiting personnel, building organizational capability, and developing strategy and plans for long term business continuity.
• Managing day-to-day production activities of employees and implementing solutions to department issues
• Establishing and maintaining business controls and processes
• Accountability for department performance against operational metrics including productivity, process yield, manufacturing variances and continuous improvement activities.
• Developing and maintaining partnerships with managers and key stakeholders in all related functional areas to assure processes, schedules, and resources meet business goals.
• Managing within assigned spending targets and capital equipment planning.
• Following quality guidelines with strict adherence to the Quality Management system

• Bachelors, Masters, University Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor with leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and technical management experience.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office Tools; Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word.
• Experience with ISO 9000

Preferred:

• Experience with machining or other precision manufacturing processes as an individual contributor and/or in a leadership role.
