Purpose of Role

 

An exciting and challenging role working in the Keysight Protocol Conformance Test team, involved in development of the framework used to run 5G Test Cases.  We are seeking an individual who is willing to undertake some of the dynamic challenges provided within the team.  The role will provide the opportunity to:


•    Gain practical software development experience, putting theory into practice across the full software development lifecycle.
•    Become familiar with the Keysight 5G Protocol Conformance Test systems

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Work will be varied between project work and day to day activities. These will include some or all of:
•    Working with experienced engineers designing new features
•    Implementing the designs in Java, JavaScript, C#, C++ and/or SQL, as appropriate.
•    Developing automated tests to ensure the correctness of the features/bug fixes
•    Developing/extending the Jenkins build/automated test environments 
•    Implementing utilities to facilitate day to day software development activities
•    Debugging issues reported by customers 
 

Job Qualifications

 

Essential Skills

 

•    Currently undertaking one of the following courses; Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science oriented Degree (or equivalent).
•    Some software development experience 
•    Willing to learn a variety of programming disciplines
•    Pro-active team member / problem solver and ability to communicate effectively.

 

Desirables

 

•    Experience working on software/hardware outside the academic environment
•    Experience using C, C++, C# or Java

 

Other Information:

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in the specified location and for a whole year full time
