Job Description

Keysight’s Automotive and Energy Solutions (AES) group is looking for an experienced electronics technician to work with and support multiple new product development teams in Loveland, Colorado.

 

 

Responsibilities:
 

•    As the primary technician for our R&D group, you will work with design engineers to build, test, troubleshoot, re-work, repair and extensively modify product prototypes into world-class solutions ready for production.
•    Contribute to solution verification and validation, assist with design and development of test systems, test software, and fixtures.
•    Self-Manage day-to-day activities based on the current project priorities and organizational needs of the supported teams, and work with contract/3rd party resources to delegate assembly and re-work tasks as needed.  
•    Maintain the lab spaces to ensure clean, safe, and productive working environments.

Job Qualifications

 

•    Minimum 5 years of experience with troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuit boards, or at least 2 years of experience in technician role supporting R&D teams
•    Strong operational knowledge of electronic circuits, digital and analog, including the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and layout/assembly diagrams 
•    Proficient with electronic test instrumentation - DMMs, function generators, scopes, power supplies, etc.
•    Experience with electro-mechanical product assemblies.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
•    Strong written and verbal communications skills
•    Strong initiative and self-managed work style
•    Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
 
Preferred:
•    Experience in a product development/R&D environment
•    Extensive experience with modifying and adding new components to prototype assemblies beyond basic part swapping/replacement (kludge in dead-bug ICs, cut and re-route PCB traces, etc.)
•    Experience with design for manufacturing (DFx) techniques
•    Understanding of instrument calibration techniques
•    Experience working with high voltage and 3-phase AC equipment.
•    Experience with programming of test instrumentation
•    Basic software development skills
