Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer to drive the digital transformation of the Global Compute and Collaboration (GCC) Organization. In this role, the Infrastructure Engineer will support data center and server infrastructure, contributing to the establishment and evolution of an automation framework to enhance infrastructure service delivery, while also promoting operational excellence in a global Linux/Unix, and Windows/VMWare environment. 

 

The focus of this job will be to maintain proper infrastructure uptime, while building upon and expanding the role and capability of automation in IT infrastructure management, using modern DevOps tools such as Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.

 


Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Influence culture change as our Compute and Collaboration teams adopt Agile software development methodologies and shift to incremental and iterative approaches based on agile principles 
  • Racking and cabling of server, storage, and network equipment in a corporate data center
  • Provide oversight and ensure proper availability of a VMware, Windows, and Linux server environment used globally and 24x7
  • Work with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver digital solutions leveraging automation tools and coding skills
  • Architect infrastructure delivery and lead transformation initiatives involving Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Help GCC teams deliver top-quality code in a timely fashion
  • Partner with R&D teams to develop automation solutions in service of improving software developers’ build cycle – code, test, & deploy
  • Establish a sustainable IT DevOps model by driving a mature solution architecture aligned with industry best practices

Job Qualifications

 

 

  • 3+ years of Data Center Management experience
  • 3+ years of Linux system administration experience
  • 2+ years scripting/coding - Python, JavaScript, PowerShell and/or Ruby
  • 2+ years of experience with software development lifecycle and release management
  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Experience with GitHub and JIRA
  • Moderate expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools - Ansible, Terraform
  • Experience with containerization, e.g., Docker & Kubernetes. and server virtualization

 

Bonus Skills:

 

  • Public Cloud services and deployments (AWS, Azure)
  • Expertise with Kubernetes solutions – Rancher is a plus
  • Basic Windows/VMware system administration
  • Computer networking
  • Software security
  • Understanding of Scrum
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SQL DB

•    Strong communication skills required, along with an ability to manage, evaluate and prioritize

workload to accommodate and align with business objectives, security concerns, and cost.

Education

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

Colorado pay range: MIN$78,120 MID $104,150 MAX $130,190

The level is based on experience, education, and skills. Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
