This position is targeted for a Quantum Physicist/Engineer that will join a R&D team inside Keysight’s Quantum Engineering Solutions (QES) organization, which is responsible for producing world-leading solutions for the challenging and exciting market of quantum technologies, including quantum computing, quantum communications and quantum sensing.


Being part of the Quantum Engineering Solutions group, you will have the opportunity to be part of this next technological breakthrough. You will work in an AGILE team to develop new solutions in collaboration with Keysight teams around the globe; turning ideas into robust software. You will develop quantum control techniques, qubit calibration, benchmarking, and visualization routines for our quantum solutions.  You will also work with classical instrumentation to enable implementation of our quantum control solutions on qubit systems.


This position is based out of our R&D office in the Cambridge area.

Job Qualifications
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field. PhD degree is preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience working with experimental quantum systems in Industry or academia 
  • Experience with scientific measurement techniques and instrumentation
  • Experience with Automation and Instrumentation controls 
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Simulation tools such as HFSS (from ANSYS), or Momentum/EMPro/RFPro (from Keysight).
  • Knowledge of Superconducting Qubits is helpful 
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with modern software development tools such as git
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to develop teamwork among individuals and over geographically disperse teams
