Job Description

Keysight’s latest high-speed DAC is working up to 128 GS/s, and due to a very smooth analog roll-off, sufficient energy is available in the second Nyquist zone (64..128GHz), which is made accessible by a passive interleaving architecture.
A major bottleneck / limitation of the spectral performance of such time-interleaved architecture is the non-ideal image rejection, which is limited by different kinds of mismatches between the corresponding sub-channels.

Goal of this project is to understand these limitations from a practical point-of-view. This includes:

 - Implementation of a system model, including the non-idealities contributing to image rejection.
 - Model verification with measurements on current and upcoming hardware
 - Optimization of the overall system performance on basis of the derived system model
