Job Description

This is your opportunity to join the KeysightCare team delivering technical support for Keysights world leading solutions to external customers and strategic partners in a fast-developing market. The KeysightCare Solutions Support AE’s will be a key player in the customer value chain and critical in increasing their productivity by resolving customer’s technical problems rapidly.   

We are looking for an experienced engineer that, with appropriate training, would be capable of becoming a technical expert on ScienLab AES solutions. ScienLab solutions span multiple disciplines which include high power electronics, climate and EMC chambers, control, automation and simulation SW.

The successful candidate will be a critical customer interface and must demonstrate a real passion for customer success. Strong analytical skills, self-motivation and excellent communication are key factors for success. 

Technical support will be delivered remotely where possible but as ScienLab AES solutions are often large installations then travel to customer sites will often be necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of expert post sales customer support for the entire ScienLab AES solution (HW & SW).
  • Analysis, diagnose and resolution of SW application, system and licensing issues.
  • Analysis and diagnosis of HW failures (remotely or on-site as necessary) with the ability to affect a repair on-site with a replacement part where necessary.
  • Support on-site system commissioning, calibration events where necessary.
  • Employ KeysightCare tools processes to ensure that all customer issues are tracked through to resolution and closure.
  • Provide start-up assistance and customer trainings to ensure that system utilisation and productivity are maximised.
  • Be the voice of the customer providing clear reporting and feedback to KeysightCare management and T3 support engineers at the SoE in Bochum Germany.
  • Coach, mentor and share technical knowledge with new starters and wider KeysightCare team members.
  • The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the KeysightCare AES solutions support strategy and will work with Keysight Support Manager to ensure resource and capability is planned to support growing customer base.
  • Take best advantage from post sales interactions with customers to investigated and qualify further business opportunities.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum of, 6 years relevant experience working in R&D, customer support or other demanding technical capacity on electrical/electronic test solutions with experience of power electronics.
  • Experience of system and automations SW is essential.
  • Experience with simulation SW and ability to write code/scripts (using languages such as C++, C#, VEE, LabView, MATLAB ® or VB) are an advantage.
  • Experience of maintaining, servicing and calibrating equipment would be an advantage.
  • The role requires a high degree of technical competence and experience. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of being good decision maker and the ability work independently and collaborate with colleagues in equal measure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, both in local language and in English.
  • Be able to confidently represent the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and escalate issues and proactively drive improvements needed to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate strong team ethic and have experience of fostering teamwork and team development.
  • High level of organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.
  • Full driving license.



The successful candidate will be required to attend immersive initial product training will take place in either Bochum, Germany or Shen-yang, China. Initial training will be residential and is expected to last 2 – 3 months with a mix of dedicated classroom sessions and hands-on/on the job training.
