What are you working on at Keysight?

I’m working on several things, including building a prototype to control an LED tower in our test system using Arduino as a microcontroller, PCB design of the prototype to be installed in the Test System and working on Vision Sensors for the Testing of the PCB that fits best for our test system.

How does your role at Keysight complement your major and vice versa?

Keysight is one of the best companies to start your career with, especially if you are pursuing your major in Electronics and related files. All the projects that I have been working on complement my major, and even if they don’t, they are helping me to grow to understand the market better.

What do you like best about working with your team?

Being an intern, I think in the initial days it is important to get help from your team in order to understand the work culture and the functionality of the team. Even though my onboarding was online as everyone was working from home. Everyone made sure that I have a proper plan for the coming months with adequate training required. I Love my Team.

Did you participate in any virtual Keysight social events/activities?

I have participated in a few events. All of them have been really informative regarding us as a company, where we stand in the market, the future road to success, information about the new products and how to make sure it reaches the customer. My favorite one among all this would be tough but if I had to pick one, I would pick the virtual coffee session that happened in the company especially in the time of COVID-19, as we cannot meet in person. It gives a good opportunity to relax a bit from the work and get to know your colleagues as well.

What’s something you’ve learned while at Keysight?

I would say PCB designing, which I have never done in the past, but now I am able to do it and I am very happy about it.

If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?

Try to socialize with other teams as well and try to understand what they are working on as well.

How would you compare working at Keysight to working on your degree?

My degree and my work complement each other, so whatever I have learned in my University I try to implement here in the company. I think it is helpful for both the company and my degree.

Describe some of your favorite moments at Keysight.

Here are a few of them: when I got the first interview call, when I was selected as the Intern at Keysight, my first day with the team, and when I finished my first project assigned to me.

What will you take from your experience with Keysight into your future endeavors?

I would like to have my future at Keysight if possible, but I would say everything from the first day has been an experience whether it be technical or professional.

What has surprised you most about interning at Keysight?

The kind of help provided by Keysight is amazing, especially for the interns, from the interview process until you feel comfortable in the company. The Keysight University courses are very good to have a start for any particular field as well.
