What are you working on at Keysight?

I'm developing a high-speed digital demo TAP plugin for easy and fast demonstration of the core UXR features. It showcases the versatility and usefulness of TAP, so this project is going to condense UXR and TAP demonstrations while making them easier. So even a new and inexperienced Field Engineer or Distributor has the ability to showcase the UXR and TAP.

How does your role at Keysight complement your major and vice versa?

My role as a software engineer at Keysight gives me the opportunity to use the most advanced measurement equipment. So, I do get practical insight in the theoretical knowledge and measurement techniques I learn at the University. Additionally, I learn a lot of soft skills here at Keysight which aren't taught in University. In the other way round, learning the theoretical knowledge and measurement techniques at the University enables me to grasp new concepts quickly and think further than the scope of my task specifies. So I'm a more valuable coworker, which you will notice.

What do you like best about working with your team?

The work climate. Everybody has immense knowledge, but nobody knows it all, so they help each other all the time. You can really grasp how they are pushing each other. Therefore, the Team achieves things they couldn't have alone. This is real Teamwork. Without the underlying good work climate, this wouldn't be possible.

What’s something you’ve learned while at Keysight?

There is no time to learn everything on your own, so you have to rely on your coworkers.

If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?

Go beyond your tasks and grab as much knowledge as you can.

Describe some of your favorite moments at Keysight.

After finishing my first project I got an email from a colleague in Santa Rosa who had gotten notice of this project and asked for a presentation. This is definitely one of my favorite moments because it conveys the esteem everybody is giving you and your projects here at Keysight.

What will you take from your experience with Keysight into your future endeavors?

Having a team which covers your back is absolutely necessary if you want to deliver the best solution possible to the customer.

What has surprised you most about interning at Keysight?

The cross-cultural cooperation. Even though culture can be a major barrier it is no big issue here at Keysight. I would go further and say Keysight allows everybody to revisit their culture-formed opinion and become the best possible version of their self.
