What are you working on at Keysight?

I am working on transforming an in-circuit test training class into an online format.

How does your role at Keysight complement your major and vice versa?

My role at Keysight has complemented my major by allowing me to see practical applications of what I have been learning in my classes. I can see how what I have been learning can be used to test different printed circuit boards and the process that goes into testing these boards.

What do you like best about working with your team?

The best thing about working with my team is the amount of knowledge I have been able to gain by interacting with them. They have shown me what they are working on to give me a detailed understanding of what the life of an applications engineer is like. They have also given me great advice on my project that I have been working on and will help me whenever I ask for it.

Did you participate in any virtual Keysight social events/activities?

I have participated in all of the virtual intern Keysight activities I have been able to attend, and I have loved every one of them! My favorite events have been building a garden home, Kahoot! games, and the origami zoo event. We have also gotten to listen to people within Keysight give us advice and talk about their career paths in the leadership speaker series. During my summer here, I have also joined the Keysight Diversity Allies (KDA) group, which has weekly conversations focused on diversity and inclusion.

What’s something you’ve learned while at Keysight?

One of the biggest things I have learned while at Keysight is how many opportunities I have with an engineering background. There is so much more that I can do besides just R&D, and throughout my internship, I have been able to see the wide variety of jobs people with my similar background have been able to take!

If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?

One piece of advice to future interns would be to reach out to as many people as you can during your time at Keysight. Everyone I have come in contact with has been more than willing to talk to me about their job, how they got there, and any other questions I may have.
